Information Technology and Telecommunications Law

Due to the deregulation of the telecoms industry in Nigeria there has been an upsurge in new entrants into the market. Our services therefore include advising clients on the procedures for acquiring licenses at the NCC and complying with NCC regulations and guidelines. We have the competence to advice on all aspects of telecommunication law and regulations. Most businesses today are built on a platform of technology and intellectual property (IP), and these businesses are either creators, acquirers, sellers and/or users of technology and IP assets. The value of these technology and IP assets will be heavily dependent on the quality of the legal documentation governing the development or transfer of those assets. At Obaika and Company, we have represented clients in various technology acquisition transactions; including negotiating and drafting software acquisition agreements, technology licensing agreements and service level agreements.
